Fitness Classes
Aerobic Exercise Class I from 8:50 to 9:50 AM on Monday ~ Wednesday ~ Friday
Nancy Swain, instructor; join Nancy for a low impact program. This program is best for those who wish to work at a mild pace and allows flexibility for those not wanting to go beyond their usual exertion level. Joe Aguiar substitutes when Nancy is unable to be here.

Aerobic Exercise Class II from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday ~ Wednesday ~ Friday
Cindi Von Kampen or Joe Aguiar instructors; Join Cindi or Joe for a fast - paced, low-impact program, designed for the person who wants to push beyond his/her usual level and increase exertion and resistance.

Arm Chair Exercises to improve flexibility, strength and balance Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:15 to 11:15 AM. This program was designed by Sonja Parker a physical therapist and personal trainer, who moved off island. We use her video tape to provide a program designed for those who wish to participate in an exercise program in a seated position or holding on to a chair.

Laughing Yoga The first Wednesday of each month at 1:00 PM. It is all about the Breath! For more information you may call Susan Bennett-Witte at 508-228-3405.

Strength Training Exercises  Tuesday mornings at 8:00 AM.  This is a 50 minute class using a variety of strengthening tools with weights, tubing and bands.  The class format will include a warm up and stretching, followed by upper body conditioning, lower body and abdominal work.  It is essential that each participant be able to comfortably get up and down from the floor as much of the work is done using a floor mat.

Tai Chi Class Every Thursday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Doug Baier, instructor. Everyone is welcome to learn about this ancient marital art which is a non-impact exercise providing health benefits of increased flexibility, balance and well-being.

Yoga Tuesday mornings from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Barbara Rives, instructor. Barbara assists beginners and continuing students with yoga instruction. All are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat if you have one. Please call the center at 508-228-4490 for more information.
