The Committee is charged with the mission of representing the residents of Nantucket in negotiating contracts with energy providers know as "Competitive Suppliers", so that no business or residence on Nantucket will pay Default Service rates for Electricity. The goals of the committee are to secure below market electricity rates while considering environmental impact and feasibility, and stay infomred and active in any energy related development on Nantucket or within 30 miles of its shores.
